In 2018 he was assigned the charge of Executive Director (MM) of Durgapur Steel Plant and finally headed the Environment Management divisions of SAIL at Kolkata in 2019. He has significant experience in the Steel industry in the areas of manufacturing, engineering, operations, planning and strategy, and commissioning and stabilisation of new facilities.The Board welcomes Shri Nandi to the Company.Chief Executive Officer Rakesh Gupta commented that “Mr Nandi brings significant experience in engineering, strategy and operations at a time when the Company has projects moving into the commercialisation phase.”
