    FTA's are not about free trade, they are simply a wishlist for multi-national companies; basically what they want to see changed so that they may benefit. It's always been this way and politicians are still telling us the same old lies of how they are negotiated in the national interest. Andrew Robb is just the same as all those before him. He talks about benefits years from now but he doesn't know a damn thing about "years from now" or what the state of the world will be. No one does.

    Looking back on FTA Ian Verrender wrote a good article about a month ago.

    Interesting stuff especially the stuff about pharmaceuticals.

    FTA talk also reminds me of two old video clips; one of Ross Perot from 1992 presidential election campaign and the other of Sir James Goldsmith being interviewed by Charlie Rose in 1994.
