I'm not being gratuitously negative. Just responding to your boisterous glass-overflowing view of GCN and WiFi.

If free WiFi is going to be a huge money spinner all over the world, then everybody is going to try to make a quid from it. They are already succeeding, as your links to the Moscow WiFi show. And recently posters have provided link after link to worldwide successes.

So what special technology (let alone experience) does GCN have that will help it make a profit in the face of fierce competition?

It is not obvious to me that it is a case of today (actually, some time shortly) Flinders Street - tomorrow the world.
