Perhaps free will should be clearly and concisely defined before it can be discussed or argued.
What are we talking about? The Libertarian version of free will? The Compatibilist version of free will? The common perception of making a selection from a set of options? Or something else?
Is it in relation to a deterministic world? A non deterministic world? A probablistic world? Does quantum randomness play a part?
What exactly is free will and if it is being argued that it is something real, how does it work?
