skypilot, that is all true. But if someone doesn't like what is being said about them (even if it is true) and they have a lot of money, and the speaker doesn't have a lot of money, then the wealthy can bankrupt the poor without the issue ever reaching court.
The problem here is not freedom of speech, but our legal system.
