    I agree consequence is subjective, It is also overseen by the government of the society you live in.

    If you are lucky, you live in a society where you can vote according to how the 'consequence' is determined and administered by said government.
    You are not exempt from it, which seems to be what a lot of 'free speech' advocates are really after.
