SMH said it would come in at $240 million. Wrong. It is actually $264 million. The difference is that they are not going to payout a dividend above earnings so the divi has been reduced 8% from .339 to .31 which is incidently the predicted earnings per share. Great. I don't like companies paying out dividends more than earnings. In fact if a company is making more than bank interest I want the money reinvested in the company in the form of buy back or a wise core investment.
