I am slightly embarrassed to be participating in this thread.
However, If it is of interest to some people.
My household is two adults, no children. We use internet for web browsing, emails and streaming. We watch a couple of movies and a couple of TV shows a week via QFX. This comes to about 25 Gig so we are close to maxing out our plan. By examining our daily use it appears a movie is about 2Gb and not zero rated on our plan.
Kat, thank you for getting the information about zero rating from Orcon. I will get in touch with them about zero rating our Quickflix use. However, I suspect unlimited plans are the future. Current dramas re the copper price aside, NZ is getting a comprehensive world class fibre optic network installed.
For anyone in NZ concerned about speeds and stability, get a QFX trial and see how it goes at your place, it works fine for me.
