As intriguing as it may sound the conspiracy idea is unlikely.... Malaysia's population is comprised of 3 major races, the Malays, Chinese and Indians.
The majority of the Chinese population tend to be the high earners & better educated. Trend seems to be that the Nationals (Malays) are well taken care off by the govt.
To link the MCA with (Mainland) Chinese Govt makes a great story but could be unfounded. Again IMO and from experience living in Msia.
