Hey what's going on. The last couple of months we are getting all different stories. That Gram has stopped funding PanAust, that the revised, revised FS was going to be released in October, then Freida was on hold and they had handed back in their Special Mining Lease application, now "The National PNG "report that a big delegation is soon heading off to China, part of which is to, but not only , to sought out Freida.


Just as PM Somari had to go and kowtow to the Chinese to get Ramu up,so PM O'Neil will be leading this delegation, they are booked in to see the top two dogs, so it looks like big announcements might ensue. I said a couple of months ago that I thought it would come down to Government to Government negotiations in the end.


Anyway the whole story can be seen on The National PNG web site or HIG web site ( over on the right hand side) .I am just pasting the two bits that refer to Freida.

PRIME Minister Peter O’Neill and National Planning Minister Richard Maru will sign agreements with the Chinese government to boost infrastructure and economic projects in PNG.

O’Neill said the agreements would include the development of the Frieda Gold Mine in West Sepik and loans.

“We will be discussing about the development of the Frieda River Gold Mine as it has been bought off by Chinese investors,” he said.

“We have to discuss the construction of a 500km road from the mine to Vanimo, the tailing dam and a large international wharf in Vanimo.”


Anyway it looks like a goer. Hope they look after our interests. With Ramu now firing we just might have the cashflow over the next 4/5 years to meet our equity commitments for Freida. If we don't we might have to get the magic man from Canada to do one of his tricks.


Any announcement should light a fuse under the share price.
