Not everyone has read all the past posts and even then the situation has changed since last August.

YAWN yeh only $1 billion to be spent.

I don't have exact figures but to transport 1 million tonnes is roughly 3000tonne per day.
Say a 100 tonne truck can make 4 trips a day threfore lets say 10 trucks are needed.. no lets say 20 to have some buffer. I see some second hand trucks are selling for about $200K (some for less) but lets go buy them for $1 million
each - OK we've spent $20 million - but you must admit I've added a fair amount of buffer.
Now lets add $20 million for the drivers,maintaining & fuel for the 20 trucks.
Still $40 million is well spent if it saves $1 billion.
Argue my figures (I think they are reasonable) but don't dismiss it as not worth thinking about.
