I am not a fan of Trump, and find his brand of extreme populism dangerous, but I would have to say that blaming him for the idiocy of the couple above is exactly the kind of 'non-news' that helps to support the Trump base assertions that there is a pure hate campaign against him. When these kinds of non-news items make it to the BBC... I get similar feeds from Vanity Fair, Huffpost (not AS bad) searching for things to hate about Trump; guys, you don't need to try that hard, and by doing so, you are propping up the Trump base, and turning off us moderates.
Apols, rant, but extremism can only be defeated by moderation and rationalism, not by counter-extremism, in my terribly humble and honest opinion.
