Thks for that,I new they could make the grade but it sounds like they have to combine the new additives to achieve the US HY100 std and it will take a few years.So they have to go thru the tests again to achieve the US HY100 std like they had to with the French HY100 std.
I had no doubt bis would get the business,just whether they had to go thru the test process again..
I'm just concerned y they r talking 2040 for delivery.
Its a proven finished design,the french design was not finished.
The time frame makes no sense.
I'll be following the progress and hoping the process ,as posted is similar to the production and technology transfer of the German rheinmetall boxer.
Bottom line for me although its caused some confusion i'm very happy we are buying the virginia class
