how sad the life of a slum dweller and trophyless team led by a choker can have them crapping on each other, little wonder they cant win anything when they cant perform as a team
Fremantle players have come under fire for, of all things, an underwhelming goal celebration.
Returning Docker Anthony Morabito kicked his first AFL goal since the club's 2010 elimination final victory over Hawthorn, but the reaction was rather subdued.
After converting a set shot from 25 metres out midway through the second quarter, Morabito received high-fives from teammates Tendai Mzungu, Colin Sylvia, Lachie Neale and Matthew Pavlich, but appeared to look surprised that more Dockers had not approached him.
Former Western Bulldogs and Richmond coach Terry Wallace believed that it reflected poorly on Ross Lyon's team.
"The disrespect that the Fremantle players had for Anthony Morabito when he kicked his goal on the weekend. I thought it was one of the worst bits of footage that I've seen this year from a footy club who are meant to be all in," Wallace told radio SEN on Monday.
"He's kicked a goal, and was looking around for people to high five. The footage was awful.
"I thought there was no excuse."
The goal drew Fremantle within 20 points of St Kilda in a game the Saints ultimately won by 58 points.
The muted celebration had also caught the eye of Dermott Brereton, who was providing special comments for Fox Footy's broadcast of the game at Etihad Stadium.
"He's had three knee operations, he hasn't kicked a goal for four years and he got two slack high fives, they should be coming from the rafters," Brereton said immediately following the goal
