Watched the game as a neutral observer last night as don't support either team. Can feel for Freo though due to some tough umpiring decisions. We cant expect umpires to make every correct call but they made some atrocious decisions that either directly resulted in a goal to Hawthorn or denied Freo a scoring opportunity. So from a neutral perspective I felt the umpires may have determined the outcome. Maybe Freo have missed their window for success now with retirements to McPharlin and (hopefully) Pavlich. Freo need to concentrate all their efforts into addressing their goal scoring woes as this has been the difference for the past couple of years. Their scores from entries into the 50 is not good enough to win premierships.
