It appears as QANTAS may be trying to capture some market share by using it's not so very convenient frequent flier points to be used over the XMAS period.
It should also be noted that QANTAS has set about revamping the FF scheme under the stewardship of soem guy i cant remember in order to stop the problems associated with seat availability for the scheme. His approach is a tiered structure, which imo will only benefit those who can afford it anyway.
QAN is holding it's ground, just !
