What days do RAC usually release market announcements?

Typically, most posters here think that Tuesday is most likely, as @IndexInvestor mentioned above. Considering that RAC's chairman (John Cullity) lives in NYC, it makes sense for any news to be delayed 24hrs as the board all need to approve market announcements. I did a quick run of the numbers last July and they did seem to back this theory up.

I was recently requested to do an update, so here is a more detailed review of RAC's announcement statistics from 29 June 2020 (CoH paper) up to January 2022.


[I've taken some liberties in excluding routine announcements that offer no fundamental information like most appendixes, so bear in mind that 'Total Announcements' is not entirely accurate].

Conclusions

• Tuesday is the 'most likely' day for news to drop, however not really by enough of a margin to be significant.
• Thursday had the highest percentage of Price Sensitive news, again by a tiny margin.
• RAC seems to have a 8 month cycle of heightened activity - putting the next peak sometime around July 2022.

Does this actually mean anything?
Not really. News will be announced as it comes to hand. This was more an exercise in curiosity. I'm fully expecting RAC will buck the 8 month news cycle and March 2022 will be our news peak.
