Investors with decent money and any sense almost never put a bid in the market like that if they actually want stock at the best price available to them. It's no surprise to see the bid has now been pulled.

I remember that almost the first thing JT talked to me about in mid-2003 was how careful he'd been to keep share issues to a minimum. It's sad to see nearly a billion shares on issue now and a fisherman who continues to pull in a majority stake in a prized asset for little more than a cent, with tens of millions in tax benefits to "boot". Even worse in a way is that such a simple, copy-the-recent-prospectus-with-minor-modifications rights issue is costing nearly as much as the working capital which will be raised.
