If memory serves correctly, Shv already owns quite a few of the Lake Powell orchard (more than 530)....they purchased their orchards under a relatively controversial arrangement where they had first right to buy if the 'Timbercorp client or grower' chose not to make their final payments on the orchards...

I read an article at business spectatator once which spoke of the Lake Powell orchards as among the most efficient in the world (additional to below story)

Select Harvests Ltd has completed the $3.8 million acquisition of 530 acres of established almond orchards in Lake Powell, Northern Victoria, in line with its strategy to increase its orchards through acquisition, long lease and by establishing new orchards.

Over the last 12 months the company has more than doubled its company orchards from 3,600 to 9,300 acres including a long term lease agreement for 3,000 acres of established orchards in Hillston, NSW. The company also completed planting of 2,000 acres of new orchards in Western Australia.
