First of all, I said nothing about fat/calories/sugar so which part of my statement you are disagreeing with. Secondly, I'm not sure about you but milk cannot just be replaced with water lol (cant believe I'm trying to explain to a grown up the difference between water and milk and why they are different). Perhaps if you replace milk in a toddler's diet with just water, you may quickly experience first hand why the two maybe different lol.
