So I thought i'd try to understand why our team and Newcrest have pegged land in this East Tennant area in the NT. So i found the following exciting information -enjoy the weekend reading.
First i found this research presentation from Geoscience Australia.

it also had the below slide which talks about an upcoming drill campaign. The yellow circles, which i drew on, show the granted Frewena Fable area and the rough position of additional applications.
So the next thing i discovered is that the NT government, through MinEx CRC, is funding this stratigraphic drill program which starts in April 2020 (excerpt below) to investigate the potential of the East Tennant area (
https://minexcrc.com.au/ndi-drilling-campaigns/ ). This is now one of the highest priority/prospective areas identified by the recent GA survey /NT government for IOCG's. The below images shows the east tennant area and the known geology overladed with the magnetics. Looks like the area granted and areas applied for by our 3 elephant hunters are right in the middle of this zone (black board area below). These were also applied for ahead of the rush.
This is just speculation by me but the small cut outs in the below tenement applications EL32293 and other surrounding application which also have cut outs (12 cut outs in total) could be part of this stratigraphic drill program said to have 8-12 boreholes. Maybe even get some drilling without a dollar spent by the company!!
