Wirecard is the exception and by that regard there are other alternatives. Visa, Square, Mastercard. WDI had a long history of fraudulent behavior and their financials looked cooked running years back. But constant defense by the media outlets, the BoD, certain fund managers and the twitter vocal minority kept the price as elevated as it was.
The company is now insolvent and the question is what happens to their 313,000 customers?
