Boeing and Caterpillar, for no obvious reason other than being high $ value shares, together accounted for -57 on the DOW, which was pretty much all the -57.94 closing value, meaning the other 28 component shares together did zip, nada, zilch around an advance/decline ratio of just 0.43 … the Dow drifting aimlessly down whilst S&P and Nas drift somewhat purposefully up.
