SPI Futures traded in a 85 point range last night, with a high of 5490, low of 5405 and a close this morning of 5430 down 1 point on volume of 22,619 contracts. Based on that range, my resistance lines are 5527, 5505, 5494, 5484, 5474 and 5463 with the pivot point at 5442 and support lines at 5420, 5409, 5399, 5389, 5378 and 5357. Gaps from last night down at 15 and 5 and up at 56, 83 and 90 at up at 5549 from yesterday. Santa seems a bit grumpy at the moment, with Europe down, then the DOW down 1.99 pct, SNP down 1.58 pct and Canada (resource driven) down less at .86 pct. VIX up 9.72 pct to 27.99 - she's getting up there. Well, this is probably my last post for a few days. I wish everybody a happy and merry Xmas, as I have to start thinking of buying presents - again.
