Results back to when it first started. 11:01pm (syd time) was the cut off (even an 11:01:00pm entry was passable) until they also realised there was daylight savings as well. Some earlier months in the beginning of the pin, even 11:01pm syd time the Dow was open for 30mins before the cut off was applied. Eventually day light savings was introduced and the times changed between 11:01pm and 12:01am depending on the months in the year.

When using old HC with the HH:MM:SS I could cut it off at that 11:01pm/12:01 time, so anyone posting at XX:01:00 would still be in the game as it was on/before the 11:01/12:01 time. But now only being able to pick up HH:MM the scanner thinks it is always a full minute and nothing else.

So now there is actually 1 second less to pin, cause the as soon as the minute hand changed to 01 all entries are late due to not being about to calculate to the second.
