@bluesky52, referring to your cartoon … how poignant. I am currently re-reading a book on Warren Buffett’s investment approach - just some light holiday reading. It discusses portfolio theory. I remember being taught all that guff when I did my MEc at Macquarie many moons ago, and wondering then whether many people practised what seemed like theoretical concepts that implied a limited understanding of human nature. We all develop our own investment styles, but from time to time, refresher courses are enlightening.
