I remember seeing a big, and I mean big wedgetail eagle chasing a fairly mature calf.

Heard the rucuss from the cows up the back.
They were all gathered together on a rise facing in the one direction.

And then I saw a BIG bird in flight chasing a calf across the paddock, the calf was not small. It was not a lamb!

It escaped to join the Mob, and then the bird landed on the parallel ridge, had a stand off with the mob.

I would not of believed a bird would try to bring down such a big animal.
