M. Voltaire’s recent posts on cycles prompted me to stick my neck out and make a tiny contribution just for fun.

In comparing the 2007 top with 1987 top, I noticed that the XAO topped on 21-Sep-87 and then double topped on 6-Sep-89 & 4-Oct-89. The average of 6-Sep-89 & 4-Oct-89 is 20-Sep-89, 1 day short of the two year anniversary.

Just a little observation, and of no major significance, but I thought it was curious that this time round the XAO topped on 1-Nov-07 and its two recent tops are 15-Oct-09 & 17-Nov-09. The average of 15-Oct-09 & 17-Nov-09 is 31-Oct-09, again 1 day short of the two year anniversary.
