SPI Futures traded in a 47 point range last night, with a high of 6533, low of 6486, and a close of 6528, up 47 points, on volume of 11,400 contracts. Gaps from last night are up at 6529 and down at 6513, 6507, and 6482.

During the SPI close, a Chinese government official suggested Beijing is hoping for continued trade talks with the United States. That was enough to light the rocket, with SPI doing almost more in the 5 minutes after open of the night session, than during the entire day. DOW up 1.25 pct, SNP up 1.27 pct and Canada (resource driven) up less, at .69 pct. VIX down 7.60 pct to 17.88.
