SPI Futures traded in a 64 point range last night, with a high of 7048, low of 6984, and a close this morning of 7029, up/down zero points (flat), on volume of 23,145 contracts. She went down shortly after the open of the night session, taking out the lower gap at 88 before shooting a 45 point green arrow at midnight, leaving one gap on the upside at 7046, and ones below at 7023, 7020, 7012 and 7005 from last night, and 6982, 6976 and 6970 from a previous day, and then the rest below that. European markets (that matter) in the red, then the DOW down .43 pct, SNP down .16 pct and Canada (resource driven) down less at .11 pct. VIX up 2.98 pct to 14.15 pct, but nothing too scary. AUD taking a bath due to the virus numbers. Have a nice Friday, the anything can happen day, happy Valentines day and let's not forget the Saint Valentines day massacre. Can we go the distance ?

Today in 1973, Muhammad Ali beat British heavyweight boxing champion Joe Bugner by a unanimous points decision in 12 rounds at Las Vegas Convention Centre. Although the scorecards in the Ali fight were somewhat lopsided, Bugner fought well, and he won the respect of the boxing media and public alike. After their bout, Ali declared that Bugner was capable of being world champion. Ali's trainer Angelo Dundee later echoed that sentiment. Yes traders, the fight between long and short is not only about points, but also being able to go the distance.
