The reason why the indicators can't work on a strong market is that they only have between 0 and 100.
Most indicators are based on price and if the price keeps rising the indicator has no where to go simply because 100 is the ceiling whereas prices just move up or down your chart with no ceiling.
That's why I prefer to use indicator patterns such as divergences etc...
