    The answer is far simpler - you have to start your use of the index from the date of the fundamental change. This is not trading science, it's just logic. You are comparing apples with oranges if you continue to predict from a changed data source.

    Similarly, how can you compare an index from say, 1960 or 1970 with an index of today's stocks when 99% are different stocks?
