yep, time decay is a killer ut when you think about it, its bs I reckon. Black Scholes may have picked up a nobel prize for their forma, but I reckon it was the prize for contribution to banking profits. What is time decay really? Its the change in the desirability of an option the closer it gets to expiry. Who writes the options? Banks. Who buys the options back? Banks. Huh? They change their mind from when they write them to when they buy them? Who profits on the transaction fees?Banks. Who have the biggest snouts in the busines? Banks!
