SPI Futures traded in a 33 point range last night, with a high of 6654, low of 6621 and a close this morning of 6628, down 26 points on low volume of 7,220 contracts. Based on that range, my pivot point and R and S levels for today are below. Gaps from last night, up at 6640, 6635 and 6633 and down at 6626. Gaps from previous days down at 6619, (been to 20 a few times, but no cigar yet), 6614, 6607, 6600 and 6599. First one up from a previous day is 6672, then 6674, 6684 and 6689, which some will think will fill today - but it's Friday again, the anything can happen day. Nice. Record highs on Wall Street due to err, more rate cut hopium (The Ostrich Management approach), with the DOW up .85 pct to 27,088.08, SNP up .23 pct to 2,999.91 and Canada (resource driven) down .21 pct, which is probably why SPI is down this morning, and they don't follow the DOW anyway - more the SNP. VIX down .77 pct to 12.93. Have a nice day.
Today in 2018, the World's longest fingernails were cut off; Shridhar Chillal's nails measured 909.6cm after growing for 66 years. He stopped cutting his nails in 1952, and it all got a bit out of hand. Not sure how he operated his keyboard and mouse for on-line trading, but however he did it, he probably nailed it.
