Not to sound too high n mighty mate, but I reckon you might be better off stepping out and watching for a bit if you are uncertain regarding news...

Now this is a killer without good money management and knowing what you are doing, but personally I try to go long off the lows and short off the highs, once more, personally I find that breakouts are very hard to catch and I end up chasing them rather than sitting on a possy.

I found that changing the mindset, going short on highs and long on lows, made a big difference to my profits and from a risk mangement perspective, you do get an idea pretty quick whether your trade is good or not.

Note though that I am a short term trader running on hourly through to 5 min and down.
