That put/call may be negated by the next couple of days of course.
At the same time that BB thing is Laundry's bands and he says hitting the white line is the top.
There has been some discussion about sentiment in some articles.
In recent decades extreme bearish sentiment has always been a contrarian indicator, and some say it is extremely bearish now.
Some have pointed out that back in to '70's, which has great similarities to now, that bearish sentiment was not contrarian.
I guess these are the sort of mixed signals one would expect in a sideways move after a big move down.
J, I think your ideas are as good as anyones for sure, and I confess to doubts about my own. With highs at the start of most months lately, a low early next week would be the opposite and that is a normal final signal.
It is so easy to chase these whipsaws and dilute capital when we should be just playing the range.
One thing I know is that the longer the range then the harder it is to pull the trigger on a real break but the real break is usually a great move because of the pent up motion.
