"No new petrol cars to be sold in UK after 2030?"
That will kill the UK economy -> no new car sales for a decade now! EVs are too expensive and conventional cars are to be phased out. So everyone will just have to hold on to the old gas guzzler until the price of an EV comes down or we win loto. Also, no use getting it serviced anymore because you wont be able to sell it so may as well run it into the ground.
