Friday November 15 - By the numbers

Look at that SPI fly... SPI Futures traded in a 39 point range last night, with a high of 6771, low of 6732, and a close this morning of 6760, up 21 points, on volume of 10,438 contracts. Based on that range, my pivot point and R and S levels are below. Gaps from last night are at 6759, 6757 and 6741. Next one up from a previous day is at 6812, next one down is at 6721.

In the headlines - China reports weaker than expected Retail Sales and Industrial Output economic data. Germany narrowly avoided a recession in the third quarter. Trump accused of bribery in Impeachment hearings. All good stuff. DOW down .01 pct, SNP up .08 pct and Canada (resource driven) up .08 pct. VIX up .38 pct to 13.05. Have a good Friday, the anything can happen day.



Today in 2017, Leonardo da Vinci's painting "Salvator Mundi" sold for $450.3 million at auction in New York, being a world record price for any artwork. Also on this day in 2018, David Hockney's "Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures)" sold for $90.3 million in New York, setting a record for a living artist. That's it traders, I'm getting the easel out and and will call my masterpiece "A Trader crying". Just need to find that old set of paint by numbers.
