Some charts, Dow and BHP New York:
The US indices are still trawling along the bottom, and the Dow came within 55 points of the November low.
If it was going to breach the low, wouldn't it have done so last night or the night before?
Hard to say, but it can break either way.
BHP USA bucked the downtrend on the back of a spike in crude oil and stronger metals.
Rose to $US 40 before settling back to $39.01, up 39 cents, 1.01%.
Could it be yesterday's US intraday low $37.19 is as low as it goes?
I don't know.
Indicators remain at oversold.
