that is, miners and related commodities only act as a hedge against inflation as long as their prices hold up, and the prices only hold up if there is sufficient demand from growth to drive them up.. so if the feds act against inflation, they slow growth and that leads to declining prices for commodities, which means they aint no good as a hedge.
