to be fair to him he was fairly non committal about when the road would be fixed, he did say that they were currently regrading another road which was quite close (i think the term road is used quite loosley more like track) that had more users on it and the council guys stated that they would be looking to fix that road next.
so yeah you are right, it could be a week or 2 months.

i also notice that cyclone george also managed to drop more rain onto the area too just for good luck...
