by the way if indeed we are to go into depressionary time with deflation, than actual cash would be the asset of choice. Even gold will loose value in this environ. I dont see the dow going to 1000 in current gold terms as the chief us money printer Benny will run the presses like no tomorrow. His current goal is the lower the overnight rate to pressure down the 30 year rates. So in Gold terms the dow could go to 1000, but actually be 100,000. Once we ave finished to de-leverging i see a deep recession with very high inflation. So commodities will do well, like the 70s.
