When using ichimoku it is best to compare t/fs.

I have kicked off with the monthly SPX


The first circle is 2002/3 (A) and shows the drop but it was using pink as
resistance. Current (B) is below all lines. A dropped from the cloud with pink
but B did not. At point C the price was supported by the bottom of the cloud
and after some consolidation dropped out with pink. D shows the support
during the low in 2002/3. This held and the rally began. E shows that brown
is clear of support.
