    French chicken:

    If desired butterfly chicken.

    Soak in a pot of boiling water and allow to cool with the following:
    A few pieces of celery.
    A few teabags of herbs.
    ½ dozen cloves smashed garlic.
    Salt and pepper to taste.

    Then place the chicken in a roasting pan with the following:
    Potatoes and other root vegetables.
    Butter.
    Cover in foil and barbecue or roast.
