    I only like them when I myself dive for them and then eat them on the beach, so fresh. But the roe only, unlike some mates who stir up the whole inside and drink it.

    Mussels also are best cooked on the beach over a fire imo but you need a few beers later as the salt water gives you the horrors.

    I saw paua for sale last week $40 each, in the shell, I know where to get dozens with a shallow dive. 6ft low tide. crays also.. @Akki
