I think the Illuminati might be a bridge too far, but I wouldn’t put it past broking houses who thought they were onto a good thing to keep the price down so as to give themselves and their clients options when the fun really starts. Big pharma eyeing a takeover would have a similar incentive. But then again, the ASX has asked brokers to self-regulate so that this kind of thing doesn’t happen, so I guess I’m probably wrong.
