Suspect the speculation is getting a bit out of hand with thoughts on another MQG takeover attempt (although their timing on the upcoming Options expiry may turn out to be exquisite).
If we just focus on what we know thru announcements, reading the last update on 09 Aug 2019 for Project Range which noted "As a consequence, 2C resources for Project Range could be better than pre-drill expectations".
Surely the big swing on Friday, combined with this TH, would suggest Range is better than planned. Otherwise whoever purchased late Friday, and the Company, will have egg on their faces if it turns out to be not so great news. And not-so-great news may include leaping for join prematurely on 2C reserves that aren't fully realized to 2P.
Good to see we have a mix of the optimists and the not-so-optimistic here (read "realists" based on past SP performance I guess).
