You can NEVER embarrass Macquarie Bank.
They have very thick skins, and their only soft spot (weakness) is a falling profit.
Their balance sheet must ALWAYS point up, no exceptions, no excuses.
They have been rejected on other attempted takeovers, no big deal, and will probably again.
But if it suits Macquarie, they will put another offer on the table.
And it will always be to their advantage, low offer.
