Dasher I can't help myself, I have to say something. The only way I can see Rem-L being provided to a patient in Australia is through an authorized trial (maybe the Victor Chang trial), it is inconceivable to me that a random patient can ask the Dr for Compassionate access or that MSB would agree to such a request. It is not that simple. Rem-L is not a medication that has any standing in Australia (let alone availability) at the moment and I think it wrong to encourage the idea people who are ill with Corona can simply seek compassionate access through their treating DR - because I do not believe that is something that can be offered short of inclusion in a trial. Moreover, I am amazed and impressed that your friend's sister has such ready access/relationship with the treating doctors to obtain confirmation of REM-L, short of being asked as part of NOK agreement for a trial.

In short, I am skeptical re the veracity of your story (at least for the REM-L part).
