The Friends of Bougainville is a democratic international membership organization. We consist of Bougainvillean landowners, prominent indigenous people of Bougainville, members of the Autonomous Bougainville Government (ABG) and shareholders of Bougainville Copper Limited.
Our goal is to help the people of Bougainville to get back into peace and prosperity. After a long secessionist war which claimed over 20,000 lives, Bougainville needs a new stable economy with more employment and income. Bougainville also needs free education for their children and free health care for themselves.
